Little Lukers: 2/3 year-olds

Upcoming Events

Little Lukers is a specially-designed program for young children who have turned two years old by June 1. Launched at GSL in August 2013 and housed at Miss Lee's Preschool, the Little Lukers program provides an initial school experience for two's and young three's that is founded in best practices as developed by our accrediting body, the National Association for the Education of Young Children.

Using NAEYC's research-based standards of excellence and incorporating our philosophy of play-based learning, children in the Little Lukers program spend their days in a nurturing and stimulating environment that is responsive to the unique developmental abilities and needs of this age group. This is a time of tremendous growth in language understanding, social connection with adults and same-age peers, and the beginnings of self-help and independence skills. With the expert guidance of our experienced teachers, each child's development will be enhanced and enriched during this critical period of cognitive, physical, and social growth.

Students may attend five days, three days, or two days a week, with half-day (8:00 am to noon) or full-day (8:00 am to 3:00 pm) options. Early care is available beginning at 7:00 am, and after school care is available until 6:00 pm. By providing these options, we continue our commitment to meet the needs of working families searching for a caring, academically-stimulating co-ed environment for their young children.

We look forward to seeing you at Miss Lee's! Email Shelly McGuire today for more information.
