We are delighted that you are interested in applying to Grace-St. Luke's School. In order to facilitate the admission process, parents are asked to complete and return an Admissions Application and $60 application fee as soon as possible. Applications are received throughout the year and are kept on file. Tours can be scheduled anytime school is in session.

Admission to Grace-St. Luke’s Episcopal School is determined by the Admissions Committee, which evaluates the academic record and recommendation(s) from the applicant’s present school, historical records from previous school(s) and the results of the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) for grades 5 through 8.

Admission to Grace-St. Luke’s School is premised upon the following:

• The existence of a vacancy for which, in accordance with the plan of enrollment adopted by the school, the candidate is qualified.
• Filing of application and $60 fee.
• Satisfactory performance on the entrance assessment.
• Satisfactory record of previous school experience.
• Completion of contract that is offered when candidate has been accepted, and receipt of the required $500 registration fee and other forms.
• Receipt of completed health record after candidate has been accepted, in accordance with Memphis & Shelby County school laws.

CALENDAR & ENTRANCE INFORMATION
By September of the year preceding entrance: Parents should turn in application and schedule a tour of the campus if they have not already done so.
December/January: Parents will be contacted to set up an appointment for admission testing for each applicant.
Mid-February: Grace-St. Luke’s and other Memphis Area Independent Schools mail decision letters for completed applications once vacancies are confirmed. Contracts are due back March 1.
After February: Any vacancies remaining are filled from the waiting group or from new applications.

PRE-KINDERGARTEN: Students must take our entrance assessment and be 3 years old before June 1 to enter PK.

JUNIOR KINDERGARTEN: Students must take our entrance assessment and be 4 years old before June 1 to enter JK.

SENIOR KINDERGARTEN: Students must take our entrance assessment and be 5 years old before June 1 to enter SK.

GRADES 1 - 4: All students entering grades 1-4 must submit records from their current school and be tested for admission by one of GSL's Grade 1-4 instructors. These tests are administered individually and must be scheduled through the Admissions office.

GRADES 5 - 8: All students entering grades 5-8 must submit records from their current school and take the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE); there are several group testing dates offered every year. Students seeking admission at this level are encouraged to spend a morning or an entire day visiting our classes. Call the Admissions Office to arrange a date.
