Parker Uniform is the school’s supplier for the newly instituted uniforms for first through eighth grade.  Lands’ End Uniform pants may be used for khaki pants and shorts in addition to Parker.  Cargo pants from Lands’ End are not acceptable.

Footwear must be clean and in good condition.  Platform or high-heeled shoes greater than 2 inches are prohibited. For safety reasons, first through fourth grade students are not permitted to wear backless shoes.

Although there is no dress code for children in SK they should be dressed appropriately for activities suitable to a preschool curriculum.  Students are not allowed to wear blue jeans to school. Students throughout the rest of the school (grades 1 - 8) are required to follow the following dress code:

Boys: Grades 1-4

Khaki Shorts and Khaki Pants (Parker or Lands’ End Uniform pants)
Oxford Shirts – white, short or long sleeved (plain, no brand logo)
Polo shirts - short and long sleeve with GSL logo in white, red or black
White or black turtlenecks
Parker Sweaters - Cardigan, Pullover, Crew Neck in red or black
GSL Spirit Wear Fleece and Sweatshirts

Boys: Grades 5-8

All students may chose any jacket, coat, hat or cap they want for outerwear but it may not be worn in the classroom.  Only GSL logo fleece and uniform sweaters may be worn in the classroom.   Socks should be white or black.  Girls, however, can also wear red socks and black or white tights.

On a dress down day the following is appropriate.  T-shirts must be free of objectionable words or images, and not be a typical undershirt.  Students may wear shorts or nice blue jeans.  Girls’ choice of clothing should not be too revealing or tight as with spaghetti straps, short shorts, short tops that reveal waistlines, or Soffees that are too tight.  Footwear for students should not be too casual as are slippers and beach flip-flops.  Pajama pants and other sleepwear are not permitted.
