Anchoring the Future
Capital Campaign Construction Complete
The goal for Anchoring the Future, the capital campaign for GSL School, was set for $6 million. Pledges and gifts totaled just over $5,650,000 – an incredible achievement for a PK-8th grade school, especially given the challenging economy. We were pleased to partner on this expansion project with First Tennessee Bank, which financed GSL's earlier expansion of historic Miss Lee’s Preschool in 1997.

Steering the Campaign
Grace-St. Luke's extends sincere appreciation to its Capital Campaign co-chairs:
Kimberly & John Freeman
Dr. John Freeman is a GSL alumnus (9th grade class of '81). The Freemans have long been active in the school community with Kimberly serving as President of the Parents' Association in 06-07. They have a son attending GSL and a daughter attending Hutchison.
Allison & Andy Cates
Andy and Allison Cates are the very busy parents of twins, and they are no strangers to the world of voluntarism. In addition to numerous other community activities, they recently chaired the stewardship campaign at Calvary Episcopal Church.
Though the capital campaign is officially over and construction is complete, the GSL Development Department continues to research grants and other sources of additional funding to help off-set the costs of the school’s expansion and renovation effort. Contributions are always welcome!
