History
Since opening its doors in 1947, Grace-St. Luke's Episcopal School has been committed to meeting the changing needs of boys and girls, providing a superior, college preparatory education within a nurturing environment that emphasizes the development of character, honor and integrity. The school is proud of its Anglican roots and its modern diversity. A range of faiths and cultures enhances the personal and educational experience of all students while weekly chapel services reinforce their spiritual development.
Worship
Grace-St. Luke's School is a church school, affiliated with Grace-St.Luke's Episcopal Church, and therefore the expression of our foundation of faith is an important aspect of our life together. One of the more outward and visible expressions of our community faith is worship. From the early childhood program at Miss Lee's campus through grade eight in the middle school, students have times for worship appropriate for their age. Attendance at chapel is required of each student and full participation is strongly encouraged of each student. At the same time the religious traditions and background of each student are respected. All of the mission and ministry of this school find its specific expression within the structure of the Christian faith and practices of the Episcopal Church.
