Originally a native of Olive Branch, Mississippi, Christy has made Memphis her new home.  Christy attended Mississippi State University, where she obtained her B.S in Educational Psychology.  After realizing she wanted to be in the classroom, Christy attended The University of Mississippi, where she obtained her Master's degree in Education.  Christy has taught in Desoto County for the past six years.  She has experience in 1st, 4th, and 8th grade.  This is Christy's first year at GSL where she will be teaching 4th grade.  Christy will also be sponsoring the GSL cheerleaders.  She lives in East Memphis with her husband Michael and their two dogs, Cooper and Buck.
