A native of Henderson, TN, Emilee Cox attended the University of Memphis and graduated with a B.S. in Early Childhood Education. Prior to becoming part of the GSL faculty, Emilee was a graduate assistant in the four-year-old classroom at the Barbara K. Lipman Early Childhood School while earning her M.S. degree in Instruction and Curriculum Leadership with a concentration in Reading at the University of Memphis. She has been teaching first grade at GSL for three years. Emilee and her husband reside in Memphis and are avid Memphis Tiger fans who enjoying attending U of M sporting events.
