Jennifer Atkins was born in Huntsville, Alabama and moved to Memphis at an early age. She graduated from Hutchison School, attended college at the University of Alabama, and graduated from the University of Mississippi with a B.A. in Education. Prior to becoming a member of the faculty at GSL, she taught kindergarten at Presbyterian Day School. Jennifer has taught first grade at GSL since 1994. She enjoys gardening, needlepointing, exercising, and reading. Jennifer has one son, Hudson, who attends Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida.
