

Joining the GSL faculty as Media Specialist is Jan Willis. He brings three decades of experience in developing children’s collections in libraries and teaching students how to use online and traditional library resources. Formerly a public library director in Tupelo, MS, he holds B. A. degrees from the University of Mississippi in English and History. His master’s degree in Library Science is from the University of Southern Mississippi and is accredited by the American Library Association. He is a member of TASL, the Tennessee Association of School Librarians, and TLA, the Tennessee Library Association. A Memphian during his middle school/high school years, he now returns as a Central Gardens resident. He enjoys walking, reading all types of books, listening to music, watching classic movies, traveling, and taking care of his dogs and cats, all rescues.
