Kappi Beazley grew up outside of New York City. She graduated from a public high school and received her bachelor's degree from Denison University in Ohio. In addition to teaching preschool students at schools in three different states for a total of 22 years, she has also run two elementary school after-school programs during her career. Kappi is married to former Headmaster Tom Beazley.  They have two grown children. Their daughter, Kristen, graduated from Elon University and received her master's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Memphis. She teaches second grade at Promise Academy, where her husband is now the Executive Director. Their daughter, De, graduated from Ole Miss, got her MSW from UT and is working for Youth Villages out of their Jackson, MS office. In addition to being with her family, Kappi loves spending time at the beach, playing with her dogs, and reading a good book.
