Liz Awsumb grew up in Rome, Georgia, where she graduated from Darlington School. She moved to Memphis to attend Rhodes College, where she graduated with a B.A. degree in Art History. She earned her master’s in Early Childhood Education with an emphasis in Montessori studies from Christian Brothers University, and taught at Lamplighter Montessori School before coming to Grace-St. Luke's in 1996. She has been a Junior Kindergarten teacher in the Lucky Leapfrog classroom ever since! When she is not “Miss Liz,” she spends her time reading, watching movies, and traveling to visit family and friends.
