Memphis native Lyn Forsyth graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.S. in Education and taught 4th and 5th grade in Texas before moving back to Memphis. She taught 6th grade English and reading at PDS before taking a temporary “retirement” from teaching to stay home and raise her three children. A faculty member at GSL since 1998, Lyn has taught a wide variety of subjects in both Lower School and Middle School, in addition to working with preschool students during summer camps. She loves working at GSL and motivating students to get excited about learning. She is often found tutoring students one-on-one outside of class. Lyn describes her work at GSL as something she truly enjoys, and says her goal is to make sure her students always leave here excited about what the future holds.
