Mary Gusmus was born and raised in Columbus, Georgia, and attended Brookstone School from prekindergarten through high school. While at Brookstone School, she was on the tennis and cheerleading teams and a member of various clubs and leadership organizations. She graduated from the University of Mississippi with a B.A. in Elementary Education with honors in May 2009. Prior to becoming a part of the faculty at GSL she tutored high school students and taught at St. Paul’s Preschool Program during the summers. She has served as a volunteer for St. Francis Hospital and Habitat for Humanity. Mary loves playing tennis, being with her family, and volunteering within the community.
