Terry Tsuya Patterson Howie, a graduate of Southwestern at Memphis (now Rhodes College), began her career at Rhodes working in the Physics department and coaching volleyball. Later, while working as a regional software trainer, her recreational time was divided between the family hobby—digging rocks and fossils—and playing softball and volleyball on the national level. Recruited by GSL in 1991, she has served in all three school divisions and received the Lorena Webber Walker award in 1998. She is now in her 12th year of teaching and coaching in the Middle School. She and her husband Bennie are most proud of their sons, GSL alumni Russell (1996) and Patrick (2001).
