After School Care Teacher

Grace-St. Luke’s Episcopal School is seeking part-time after school care teachers for the 2019-2020 school year. Responsibilities include ensuring the safety and well-being of children in the program, supervising and engaging with students, facilitating snack, creating and implementing activities, guiding and supporting children in their development of interpersonal skills, and maintaining positive relationships with students and parents. This position requires the successful candidate to be a minimum of 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent, have availability from 1:30/2:00-6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and be in good physical condition. Additionally, the successful candidate will possess a sense of humor, the ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, and experience working with preschool or school age children.

Associate Director of Communications

The Associate Director of Communications is responsible for managing all of the school’s communications, marketing, public relations, social media, and advertising. This individual serves in an internal capacity working with all divisions and departments in the school, as well as in an external capacity by creatively seeking ways to publicize and celebrate school programs and achievements. This individual must be a creative problem-solver and strategic thinker with the ability to multitask and remain organized, while keeping the school’s brand image top of mind in all efforts. The Associate Director of Communications is a member of the Advancement Team, reports directly to the Director of Advancement, and works closely with the Director of Enrollment and Head of School. The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, or a related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years experience in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism required. Experience with independent/private schools preferred.
  • Ability to work in fundraising databases (i.e. Raiser’s Edge) preferred but not required. 
  • Strong written and oral communications skills required.
  • Ability to work successfully with parents and children required.
  • Good judgment & strong sense of customer service required.
  • High level of organization, attentive to detail, and adept at multitasking required.
