Need-Based, Discounted Tuition

Grace-St. Luke’s is committed to offering need-based assistance to eligible applicants for grades SK-8. The school does not offer need-based discounts for its preschool programs. The availability of school resources, the number of qualified applicants, and overall budgetary constraints influence financial assistance decisions. Tuition discounting will only meet a portion of the family’s financial obligation to the school.  While there is no obligation to repay the award, it is hoped that the recipients will contribute to the school's annual fund each year. In an effort to make the process fair to all, Grace-St. Luke’s considers the following when making award decisions:

  1. The primary responsibility for financing a student’s education rests with the family.  Families must consider all their personal resources before applying to the school for funds.

  2. Both parents are expected to contribute to tuition. GSL imputes an annual income for a non-working parent with the exception of a parent who stays home to care for a young child.

  3. Grace-St. Luke’s believes a family should invest in their child’s education before elective expenses.

Families that receive tuition discounting for the current school year must submit applications by December 15.

New applications for currently enrolled families are due on January 10.

How to Apply for the Coming School Year

Grace-St. Luke’s uses the online service of Financial Aid for School Tuition (FAST) to process applications. FAST does not decide whether discounting will be given; it simply provides a need-based analysis that includes a recommendation of what a family should reasonably contribute toward tuition. All information from FAST is kept confidential. The reports are reviewed by a committee, which makes recommendations to the Head of School based on next year’s budget.

New Families

Please complete the steps below no later than January 15 to be considered for an award upon admission. Award notifications will be sent with the admission notification in mid-February. After March 1, please inquire about discounted tuition availability before submitting an application.

Application steps are as follows:

  1. Complete the online application.

  2. The application process is self-guided. You may navigate in and out of the program allowing you to partially complete an application and go back at another time. You may use the previous years' tax information and estimate any changes for the current year. Online email and a 24/7 helpline are provided. Please do not call Grace-St. Luke’s with questions. FAST representatives are much better able to serve you.

  3. The charge for the application is $45 and can be paid by credit card at the end of the session.

  4. After completing the online application you will be required to mail your most current tax returns with all schedules and W-2’s directly to:
