The Anchor is a publication of Grace-St. Luke's Episcopal School. Published twice a year, this magazine highlights GSL's signature programs, students' transformative experiences, alumni profiles, and other exciting news from the GSL community.
Fall 2022
In this issue we celebrate GSL's 75th Anniversary! Check it out to see photos from our incredible anniversary celebration in August, plus an event recap and historical facts about our school. Spring 2022
Spring 2022 brought the beginning of a return to normal life on campus (minus pandemic protocols!). We also bid farewell to our outgoing Head of School, Thor Kvande, and celebrate his 18-year tenure at GSL, and re-introduce a former Saint, Andy Surber, as the next Head of GSL beginning July 1. You'll also find photos from around campus, fun facts about our school, a list of high school placements for the Class of 2022, an update on the Annual Fund, and a bunch of interesting updates on our Saints alumni. This issue's theme is science, and we share stories from every division that illustrate this critical component of our academic curriculum. You'll also see photos from around campus, fun facts about our newest Saints on staff, a list of college placements for the Class of 2017, a slew of alumni updates, and our annual giving report that lists all who gave to the school in 2020-21. Spring 2021
At GSL we are guided by the Formative Five program. Every day our outstanding faculty model and teach lessons of empathy, self-control, integrity, embracing diversity, and grit to create kind, thoughtful, lifelong learners in Grades LL-8th. This issue showcases how the Formative Five traits are woven throughout each division at the school, and also features a list of our 8th graders' high school placements, an update on the Annual Fund, and lots of great alumni news.
