Athletics
A high-quality interscholastic athletic program is an important part of students' educational experience at GSL. Through regular P.E. classes that begin as early as Preschool Fun & Fitness, coupled with robust church league and school sports programs, we promote both skills development as well as the ideals of good sportsmanship, school spirit, and healthy competition. Our goals are to improve the athletic abilities of our students, instill the principles of teamwork, share the importance of lifelong physical fitness, and reinforce the character-building traits inherent in athletics and competition.
GSL School fields teams throughout the fall, winter, and spring sports season in Middle School (5th through 8th grades), as listed below. We participate in the PAA league and the Shelby 5/6 and 7/8 leagues in Memphis.
