The Best Tools for the Journey Ahead

Girl and Boy Students

In Middle School, our goal is to equip students with all the tools they need for success in high school, college, and beyond. While academics are the primary focus, we know that education must be broader, deeper, and richer if we prepare the whole child.

In fifth through eighth grade, students enjoy a full range of experiences in accelerated academics, sports, leadership, the arts, peer relationships, and spiritual discovery. With a low teacher-student ratio, time is available for individual support and direction. We employ teachers with unique talents in academics, arts, and athletics. In partnership with parents, we work to ensure each child’s developmental needs are met.

As students reach eighth grade, teachers and administrators work with the students and parents to identify and apply to the right high schools while preparing for a smooth transition. Students leave GSL knowing they are prepared for success in high school, college, and beyond, but that their Anchor for Life in GSL will always be there for them. This leads to the infinite portion of a student’s journey at GSL: Being a Luker for Life.
